Sbandieratori, Musici e Uomini d’Arme (Flag-wavers, Musicians and Swordsmen) of Terra del Sole are a group of re-enactment, born from a previous formation which, from the beginning of the 70s, aggregated local young people, combining the pleasure of staying together and the realization of an historical and folkloristic show.
The training leads to an entertaining choreography where the rhythm of the drums and the melodies of the trumpets join the graceful and coloured game of flags. With this objective the group has grown through the years, renewing his components, who are all between 12 and 30 years old, and is nowadays undertaking to teach to the youngster in school age.

The numerous presences in re-enactments fairs and tournaments, both in Italy and abroad, have led the association to receive many appreciations, motivating the young components to keep on and improve themselves.
Completing the show of flags, drums and trumpets, the group also has a component of swordsmen specialized in historical fencing, able to represent duels and fights with different kinds of edged weapons. This group of armed re-enactors has chosen the name of “Compagnia del Montone” (Company of the Montone), in reference to the name of the river that flows through the valley of the Municipality, and in honour of an animal (“montone” means “ram”) that well represents the passion and fervour of our swordsmen.
